Bicyclist Killed By Hit-Run Driver In Baltimore Intersection, Police Say

An early morning bike ride led to the death of a 47-year-old man who was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver in Baltimore on Sunday morning.

Officers from the Baltimore Police Department were called shortly before 12:30 a.m. on Feb. 4 to the intersection of West Franklin Street and Payson Street, where a bicyclist was hit by a motorist who did not stay at the scene.

The man was left suffering from life-threatening injuries, and he was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by paramedics after they attempted to resuscitate him. 

No information about the victim has been released by the department. The incident remains under investigation.
